Samsung Portable SSD T5 Review

One of my favorite products from last year that I take with me everywhere is the Samsung Portable SSD T3. This portable solid state drive is super small, fast, and is what I’ve used to edit 4K content when I’m on the go. This year Samsung has a new Portable SSD T5, which has increased transfer speeds, a full metal casing design, and the same small footprint. This drive is perfect for content creators on the go and anyone who is looking for fast transfer speeds. Let’s see if this drive can live up to how great the SSD T3 was and if it is worth upgrading.

Special thanks to Samsung for providing us with the Portable SSD T5 to review.

Getting everything out of the box we have the Portable SSD T5, USB 3.1 Type-C to C cable, USB 3.1 Type-C to A cable, and a quick start guide. It is nice to see both a normal Type-C cable and a Type-A cable included. While many new PCs have Type-C connections having the Type-C to Type-A cable makes sure you can use this drive on older systems as well.
