AMD “Matisse Refresh” XT SKU Clock Speeds Surface

Just a couple of days ago we told you about AMD’s “Matisse Refresh” XT CPUs to compete with Intel’s 10th generation “Comet Lake” processors. These chips could feature possible clock speed-bumps to bring more performance. The lineup will be made up of the Ryzen 9 3900XT, the Ryzen 7 3800XT, and the Ryzen 5 3600XT. We now have new information on their possible clocks speeds.

The XT chips will look to get around 200-300 MHz bumps in both base and boost clock speeds. Starting with the 3900XT you’ll get a base clock of 4.10 GHz and 4.80 GHz max boost clock, compared to the 3.80 GHz base and 4.60 GHz boost of the normal 3900X.

Next you have the 3800XT which will get a base clock of 4.20 GHz and a 4.70 GHz max boost clock, compared to the 3.90 GHz base and 4.50 GHz boost of the 3900X.

Finally there is the 3600XT which will have a base clock of 4.0 GHz and boost of 4.70 GHz, compared to the 3.80 GHz and 4.40 GHz of the 3600X.

With AMD boosting the clocks of these chips it appears that AMD is looking for reduce if not beat Intel in gaming performance.
