AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core Zen 3 CPU gets overclocked to 6 GHz and benchmarked

AMD recently released its Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 CPU. The range offers some serious performance, with the best out of the lot being the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. The CPU was recently overclocked and benchmarked on Geekbench 5.

Twitter computer hardware enthusiast TUM_APISAK discovered the benchmark listing with the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core Zen 3 CPU overclocked to 6.022 GHz. Take a look:

Now, before you get your hopes up by looking at the macOS label, the system is very, very likely to be a Hackintosh system rather than a legitimate Apple product. Take a look at the Geekbench 5 scores of this system:

Thanks to the crafty comparison bar graph made by Twitter user harukaze5719, we can see that the CPU outperforms every available consumer CPU right now.

AMD will launch the Ryzen 5000 series on November 5th. The Ryzen 9 5950X, which was overclocked in this test, features 16-cores and 32-threads with a TDP at 105W and boost clock up to 4.9 GHz. It will cost 799 USD.
