According to some reports, Apple might be developing a VR headset. The Apple VR headset is codenamed N301. Currently, the headset is in a late prototype stage. The VR headset will feature custom Apple silicon, which will be more powerful than the M1 chip and will feature limited AR abilities. Initially, Apple had plans to launch a VR headset which would use the energy from the mobile’s processors.
The VR headset from Apple will be an expensive product with a higher price tag than its competitors, Oculus, Sony, and HTC. It will only be distributed through Apple’s first-party store.
The VR headset is expected to launch in 2022 while the AR glasses will be sold in 2023 if Apple achieves its target on time.
