Cooler Master’s New Gaming Keyboards For 2016

Cooler Master seemed a little behind the times in terms of their gaming keyboards. One of the most frequent questions Cooler Master was asked about their gaming keyboards is when they were going to get RGB lighting, well now they have it. At CES 2016 we got a chance to take a look at three new Cooler Master cases which included the Devastator II, MasterKeys Pro S and MasterKeys Pro L.

Let’s start with two mechanical keyboards the MasterKeys Pro S and MasterKeys Pro L. The MasterKeys Pro S is a Tenkeyless keyboard designed for fast-paced gaming. Since it is does not have a numberpad it takes up less space on your desk. The MasterKeys Pro L is a full-sized keyboard, but still keeps that compact form factor. Both keyboards have pretty subtle looks and do not come with wrists rest or anything like that.

Both keyboards feature authentic Cherry MX key switches and are fully RGB backlit. Cooler Master has gone and sourced some of the best LEDs on the planet for these keyboards. These LEDs pop-out and shine more, with no dull, muted colors or color bleeding. Each one of the keys can be individually back-lit to a color of your choice. There are some pretty awesome color effects that we demonstrated in the video above.

On the more entry-level side Cooler Master is introducing the Devastator II gaming combo, which will include a keyboard and a mouse. The keyboard is what Cooler Master calls a Mem-chanical keyboard. They make use of Cooler Master exclusive switches that give you that tactile feedback you would expect to see in a mechanical switch. These switches are also designed to fit Cherry MX compatible key caps. So if you had certain key caps that you wanted they will work on this keyboard. The keyboard itself is a full size keyboard with a few extra media keys and is backlit. The mouse also had LED lighting and has a 2000 DPI sensor.
