We all know how Intel’s upcoming 12th Gen Core processors feature hybrid technology and processors based on the big and small core x86 architecture which can cause problems for monitoring softwares like CPU-Z. In consideration of this, the developers of CPU-Z has released the 1.96 update adding support for Intel Alder Lake and Z6XX series motherboards.
The update modifies the tool to report the number of threads on each 12 gen processor; unfortunately, it will not show the number of big and small cores. The update also offers Z6xx support, which is a new chipset series for LGA1700 socket-based motherboards. The new version will also show DDR5 RAM configuration within the range of 4800 to 8400 MT/s.
As for AMD, the 1.96 CPU-Z update allows the software to support the Ryzen 5000G desktop APUs. The updated software will also recognize Radeon RX 6000 graphics card series.
