Developers Who Returned the DTK Mac mini Are Now Receiving $500 in Credit From Apple

Apple kept its promise as it has started issuing $500 worth in credit to developers who returned their DTK Mac mini. Initially, the return credit was set at $200, but Apple sent an email stating that the return has been raised to $500, which is the price tag of the DTK Mac mini.

Developers received the following message from Apple upon their return of the DTK Mac mini:

“In appreciation of your participation in the Universal App Quick Start program and to help with your continued development of Universal apps, we’d like to provide you with a one-time-use promo code for $500 toward the purchase of a new M1 Mac or other Apple products ordered through the Apple Store Online.”

According to MacRumors, the $500 credit will be adjusted with respect to the region you reside in. If you are living in Canada, you will receive a credit of CAD 636.

A deadline of 31 March 2021 has been set by Apple to return the DTK Mac mini and get eligible for the $500 credit. You can use this amount to purchase any Apple product, which also includes M1 Mac mini, M1 MacBook Pro, or M1 MacBook Air.
