Apple kept its promise as it has started issuing $500 worth in credit to developers who returned their DTK Mac mini. Initially, the return credit was set at $200, but Apple sent an email stating that the return has been raised to $500, which is the price tag of the DTK Mac mini.
Developers received the following message from Apple upon their return of the DTK Mac mini:
“In appreciation of your participation in the Universal App Quick Start program and to help with your continued development of Universal apps, we’d like to provide you with a one-time-use promo code for $500 toward the purchase of a new M1 Mac or other Apple products ordered through the Apple Store Online.”
According to MacRumors, the $500 credit will be adjusted with respect to the region you reside in. If you are living in Canada, you will receive a credit of CAD 636.
A deadline of 31 March 2021 has been set by Apple to return the DTK Mac mini and get eligible for the $500 credit. You can use this amount to purchase any Apple product, which also includes M1 Mac mini, M1 MacBook Pro, or M1 MacBook Air.
In case you are thinking about the DTK Mac mini specs, it shares the same chip as the 2020 iPad Pro models, A12Z Bionic.
