ASUS announced price increases to their graphics cards last week and it looks like both EVGA and Zotac are following their lead. EVGA released a statement on the matter…
“Due to ongoing events, EVGA has made price adjustments on the GeForce RTX 30 Series products. This change was necessary due to several factors and will be effective January 11, 2021. EVGA has worked to reduce and minimize these costs as much as possible. For those who are currently in the EVGA.com Notify Queue system or Step-Up Queue, EVGA will honor the original MSRP pricing through April 16th, 2021 if your purchase position is processed before this date.”
Here are some examples of EVGA price increases:
– $609 RTX 3070 FTW3 Ultra Gaming is now $679
– $779 RTX 3080 XC Ultra Hybrid Gaming is now $869
– $1799 RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid Gaming is now $1869
These price increases are not all that bad, most price increases are only $70 and they will still be honoring the original MSRP on their trade-up program.
Zotac seemed to just increase their RTX 30-series pricing without notice. These price increases are much more than what EVGA is increasing prices to. Here are some examples.
Zotac Pricing on December 18th; January 3rd; January 13th
– $440 RTX 3060 Ti to $500 and now $530
– $540 RTX 3070 to $600 and now $640
– $750 RTX 3080 to $780 and now $840
– $1550 RTX 3090 to $1580 and now $1900
As you can see with most cards the price increase is $90-$100, with the exception of the RTX 3090 which gets a $350 price increase!
