Intel Core i3-12100 Quad-Core Alder Lake CPU Is Faster Than Ryzen 3 3300X

Intel Core i3-12100 quad-core Alder Lake CPU has been tested and found to be faster than the Ryzen 3 3300X.

The Intel Core i3-12100 CPU is equipped with four cores and eight threads. Because it only has one type of core, Golden Cove, it cannot handle hybrid architecture.

According to XFastest, the CPU sample tested has a maximum boost clock of 4.3 GHz, which equates to the processor’s single-core boost speed. The sample, contrary to predictions, has lower PL1 and PL2 limits than predicted. To differentiate the Alder Lake series from prior generations, Intel changed the designations of such power restrictions to Processor Base Power and Maximum Turbo Power. PBP/MTP values for this i3-12100 sample are 60W and 77W, respectively.

The specimen was analyzed on an ASRock Z690 Steel Legend motherboard with 16GB of DDR4-3600 RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti GPU. Then it was tested against AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3 3300X quad-core CPUs running on an ASRock X470 Taichi motherboard with the same RAM and GPU like the Intel processors.

When contrasted to the Zen2-based Ryzen 3 series, the chip scores brilliantly in all of the tests. It also generates less heat and electricity than its AMD counterpart.
