Intel Core i5-12600K CPU-Z Is 50% Faster Than i5-11600K In Multi-Thread Test

The Core i5 Alder Lake SKU, intended to be launched at the much anticipated Intel Alder Lake launch event, is gradually becoming an intriguing highlight of the new series.

The Core i5-12600K is a hybrid CPU based on Intel 7 process node (formerly known as 10nm Enhanced SuperFin) provided with 6 Golden Cove cores and 4 Gracemont cores (a total core count of 10 cores). Reportedly, the Core i5-12600K will have 16 threads (6*2+4).

The rumored features include 2.8 and 3.7 GHz base clocks and 3.6 and 4.9 GHz boost with up to 1 and 2 Efficient and Performance cores respectively. The primary frequency documented by CPU-Z software is by the Performance cores. The frequency is expected to be between 4.5 GHz to 4.7 GHz.

The processor achieved 760 to 773 points in the single-thread test and 7156 to 7220 points in the multi-thread test recently. The results are evidence that Core i5-12600K has outperformed high-end processors such as Core i9-11900K and Ryzen 7 5800X. Intel Alder Lake seems to be a true generation leap over Rocket Lake.

Intel is ready to launch its 12th Gen Core series on November 4th with the series including as many as six SKUs. It has not yet been confirmed if we will see an increase in the pricing for the Alder Lake Series or not.
