MSI Announces the Optix G242 Monitor With a 24″ 144 Hz Panel

Today, MSI has added a new gaming monitor to its lineup, Optix G242. The monitor features a 24 inch IPS panel with a 1080p resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The IPS panel can display up to 16.7 million colors, which means it features a wide color gamut display coverage rated at 94.6% DCI-P3 and 127.7% sRGB.

It also features a 250 nits maximum brightness and a contrast of 1000:1. The monitor also features support for VR in terms of NVIDIA G-sync or FreeSync compatibility.

The Optix G242 also features AntiFlickr technology and Blue Light Reduction” filtering mode. The monitor dimensions are 540.2 mm width, 228.2 mm depth, 411.6 mm height, and it is weighted at 3.33kg. As for the ports, it features 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 2x HDMI 1.4, and 1x Earphone jack.
