NVIDIA Asking Board Partners To Halt RTX 3090 Ti Production

According to industry sources cited by TweakTown, it appears as if there is some trouble with NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card. NVIDIA has asked their add-in-board partners to “pause production” on their custom GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards. It appears there are issues with both the BIOS and hardware on the cards. Details of these issues are unknown at this time.

It is worth noting that NVIDIA never did confirm the RTX 3090 Ti launch date during their CES 2022 preview of the card. They only said that we would hear more about this card later this month. The rumored release date for the card was January 27th, but with the halt in products and issues NVIDIA is facing it look like this release date might be pushed back. We could see an official announcement with specifications and pricing on the 27th with a release date set sometime in February.

The RTX 3090 Ti will be based on the GA102 GPU with 10752 CUDA cores, 24 GB of GDDR6X memory running at 21 Gbps and a 450W TDP.
