NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ampere could be 35% faster than RTX 2080 Ti, according to leaked 3DMark benchmark

NVIDIA is hard at work readying the next generation of its GPUs. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 has now allegedly been benchmarked. The leaked numbers give us some idea about the performance gain the next generation will get.

The new leak comes from a 3DMark Time Spy Benchmark thanks to Kopite7kimi. The RTX 3080 was allegedly tested on this 3DMark benchmark, and the numbers are promising. The rumor says that the RTX 3080 scored 8,600 points on this test.

The leaker also sais that the flagship model of the next generation of NVIDIA GPUs, which could be named either RTX 3090 or RTX 3080 Ti, scored a whopping 10,000 points on the test. Regardless, the RTX 3080 itself performed 35% better than the reference RTX 2080 Ti, which makes it look like a great upgrade. The leaker also leaked some possible specs and SKUs for the next-gen NVIDIA cards:
