NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 To Be Priced At $599

it has been reported that NVIDIA has decided on the price for their RTX 4070 non-Ti SKU at $599. This was shared during a press briefing that typically happens before a product launch. Reviewers are anticipating the arrival of their RTX 4070 test units by early next week. It’s worth noting that while Videocardz received confirmation from three sources about the price, it’s not uncommon for NVIDIA to make last-minute changes to pricing.

The RTX 4070, priced at $599, will be significantly more affordable compared to the RTX 4070 Ti, which was first priced at $899. It’s worth mentioning that the Ti version was originally named the RTX 4080 12GB, but NVIDIA decided to pull back on the release after facing negative feedback from the community. The same card was eventually released under a different name a few weeks later, with a price tag of $799.

It is interesting to note that the pricing for the RTX 4070 will be the same as the RTX 3070 Ti when it first launched, despite it being over a year and a half since then (June 2021). The RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3060 Ti were some of the most popular Ampere cards.

When it comes to specifications, the RTX 4070 will have the same number of cores as the RTX 3070 (5888 CUDA), but it will have an upgraded GDDR6X memory technology and an additional 4GB of capacity. Despite a narrower memory bus (192-bit), the card will still have higher maximum bandwidth due to the 21 Gbps modules.

The RTX 4070 is scheduled to launch on April 13th, and we’ll keep you informed if there are any changes.
