NVIDIA RTX 4080 Will Come in 12GB and 16GB Variants

It appears as if NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card will come in two distinct variants based on memory size, memory bus width, and even core-configuration. According to reports there are two reference designs for the RTX 4080, one will have 16GB of memory and a 12-layer PCB, while the other will have 12GB of memory and a 10-layer PCB.

It also appears that both of these cards will launch at the same time, which would be very similar to NVIDIA’s GTX 1060 series that came in 3GB and 6GB variants. Of course we saw NVIDIA also release two different RTX 3080 models, one with 10GB of memory and the other with 12GB. These cards also had different CUDA core counts, which we might see here as well.
