NVIDIA Will Not Release a Founders Edition Of The GeForce RTX 2060 12GB

NVIDIA has decided not to come forward with the RTX 2060 12GB Founders Variant. The news has also been confirmed by TechPowerUP.

RTX 2060 will only be available in custom versions. This decision just sparked up the price of the NVIDIA RTX 2060 12GB.

NVIDIA RTX 2060 12GB SPECS

NVIDIA has announced the new Turing card silently through a website update and a brief press release, which is surprising for the gaming world. The website update has established that the card is a lower bandwidth variant of the RTX 2060 SUPER, featuring the same clock speed and 2176 CUDA cores.

The price will vary depending on the specific model and region. It is a premium version of the RTX 2060 6GB and we expect the price to reflect that. Please contact our AIC partners for specific product details and pricing.“

A conclusion was made earlier that buyers will have a chance to purchase the card not only from selected retail partners or NVIDIA’s webstore, but also at MSRP. But now it looks like a dream as its listing was also taken off of the NVIDIA website, thus negating the launch of “Founders Edition”. TechPowerUP has verified with their sources that the board partners’ cards will be the only variant of the RTX 2060 12GB cards.

NVIDIA has updated their website to remove the “Founders Edition” part from their specs page […]. We confirmed with NVIDIA that there will be no RTX 2060 12 GB Founders Edition, only custom designs by their various board partners.”

RTX 2060 no Founders

NVIDIA RTX 2060 12GB official launch date is December 7th, and no board partner has shown their design yet.
