SilverStone TD03-E Liquid CPU Cooler Review

While I normally find myself in the pursuit of absolute performance – especially when it comes to cooling – for some PC enthusiasts that’s not always the case. Whether it’s space constraints or maybe a massive overclock is just not needed there is always a need for smaller CPU coolers. Today we’ll be taking a look at Silverstones TD03-E. This 120mm radiator based cooler is identical to the TD02-E we’ve previously tested aside from radiator size. Coming in with the same high quality design, fit, and finish let’s see if the TD03-E provides just the right amount of cooling performance that you need.

Special thanks to Silverstone for providing the TD03-E for review!

The Tundra TD03-E is SilverStone’s premier all-in-one liquid cooler and is a breakthrough in a market segment filled with similar-looking products. Its unique alloy water-block is constructed with copper base and aluminum body for better durability compared to plastic-built competitions. The block also has a patented design that eliminates screws in its construction to provide excellent cooling performance and integration of mounting bracket for easy installation. The radiator has another patented design that utilizes brazing fins similar to those used in top air coolers for increased heat transfer efficiency by up to 40% over traditional radiators. With it fully assembled, factory filled and sealed, the TD03-E can be used immediately with no need to refill. For those looking to finally have a unique all-in-one liquid cooler that is durable and well-constructed, the TD03-E is definitely it.

Cutting the seal and opening the lid we find a black and white user’s manual waiting for us on top of a pretty thick piece of protective foam. Beneath the foam we find all the components held comfortably in an molded cardboard shell and fully wrapped in plastic. Taking everything out of the box we see that the cooler is completely wrapped in plastic as are the fans. All of the accessories are then found in a single cardboard box.
