Two New M1X MacBook Pro Models Show Up In Latest Regulatory Filings

Apple’s M1X MacBook Pro models will reportedly enter production in Q3 2021 and will possibly arrive in Q4 2021. The new portable Macs have been spotted in fresh regulatory filings before their official announcement which suggests that Apple has plans to unveil them soon.

The following models have been spotted in the regulatory filing:

•A2442
•A2485

The EEC did not clearly mention that these are the new M1X MacBook Pro models, but since the models are not related to previous Apple products so it can be assumed these are the upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch machines. If it’s true, then fans can expect a hefty redesign for both models where they will have flat edges like the iPhone 12 and will house the M1X chipset.

It is said that M1X will have a 10-core configuration. The configuration will have 8 performance cores and 2 power efficiency cores. The word is Apple will also offer 16-core and 32-core GPU configurations but let’s wait and see whether the GPU configuration will be available for both the models or just one of them.

As per previous reports, the M1X MacBook Pro line will have a MagSafe connector, an HDMI port, and Thunderbolt 4 ports. The bad news is that it will let go of the Touch Bar and be limited to 32GB RAM; however, some fans might be happy to hear that a UHS-II SD card will still be offered. Moreover, Apple will introduce mini-LED screens in the MacBook lineup for the first time.

Products are spotted in the EEC listing when they are a few weeks away from their release since it’s the first week of August already, so it looks Apple is on track for the new MacBook release.
