Xbox Series X pre-orders to open up soon, says Australian Xbox All Access Partner

The next-gen console war is starting to heat up. While we’re a few days away from the official Xbox event, a new leak (of sorts) says that Xbox Series X preorders might start soon. Read on!

This bit comes from Reddit user bruceharryvok, who posted on the Xbox Series X subreddit that Telstra, an Australian telco has confirmed that Xbox Series X preorders are set to commence soon. Telstra is a Microsoft partner for Xbox All Access, so there’s a good chance this information is correct. The report was corroborated by several other Redditors. The message from Telstra read:

“You’ve signed up to receive information about the Xbox Series X. Pre-orders for the Xbox Series X with Xbox All Access will open soon. This offer is exclusive to Telstra customers – so you need a postpaid mobile, mobile broadband or home internet service with us.”

Since the talks of an August Xbox event have been going on, it seems like the preorders might kick off right as the event ends. While this wouldn’t be a surprise usually, it means that we are about to hit a crucial point in this console race — we will finally know the pricing of the Xbox Series X. Microsoft and Sony have both been waiting for the other to reveal their pricing, and it seems like Xbox might do it first.

The Xbox Series X is set for a Holidays 2020 release. Are you excited? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
