Newegg is offering AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D for $429 after a $40 promo discount, with a 240mm liquid cooler and a copy of Onimusha: Way of the Sword included. The deal puts the eight-core gaming CPU below $430 again, though it has sold for less before. The bundle may be especially useful for builders assembling or upgrading an AM5 system.
Key takeaways
This is a Newegg promotion, not a confirmed AMD-wide price cut. The final value depends partly on whether you need the bundled cooler and game.

- Bundle includes a 240mm AIO cooler and Onimusha: Way of the Sword
- The processor has 8 cores, 16 threads and 96MB of L3 cache

What the $429 deal includes
Newegg lists the processor at $469 before applying a $40 promotional discount. Reports say buyers also receive Onimusha: Way of the Sword and a 240mm AIO cooler at no additional charge. The gifts have been valued at roughly $70 apiece, although that estimate does not make them equivalent to cash savings if you would not otherwise buy them.
There is a discrepancy in coverage over the cooler’s exact model: some reports identify an MSI MAG CoreLiquid A13, while another describes a Cooler Master Elite Liquid 240. Check Newegg’s current bundle listing and checkout details to confirm which model is included.
9800X3D specifications and gaming appeal
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a Zen 5 desktop processor with eight cores and 16 threads. It runs at a 4.6GHz base clock and can boost up to 5.2GHz, with 96MB of L3 cache. Its 3D V-Cache design makes it a strong option for gaming-focused builds, while its core count also supports general desktop and productivity workloads.
The deal is relevant to existing AM5 owners considering a CPU upgrade, as well as builders who already have a compatible motherboard and memory. The 9800X3D has previously dipped to around $400, so $429 is not its lowest reported price; the included extras are the main reason this offer may be more attractive than the CPU price alone suggests.
Other Ryzen X3D offers
Newegg’s promotion also covers several other X3D processors. Reported prices include $699 for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, $899 for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, $348 for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and $309 for the Ryzen 7 7700X3D. The higher-end chips are paired with cooler and game offers, while the two lower-priced models are reported to include a power supply. Bundle availability and promotional pricing can change, so check the retailer’s listing before purchasing.
