Patriot Viper Xtreme Division 4 DDR3-1866 16GB Quad Channel Memory Kit Review

A little over a year ago we took a look at our first Patriot Viper Xtreme memory kit in their <a href="http://thinkcomputers.wpengine.com/patriot-viper-xtreme-ddr3-2000-6gb-triple-channel-memory-kit-review/">6GB DDR3-2000 kit</a>.  These kits are just awesome!  Each module in the kit features 6 grams of copper at its core paired with an extruded aircraft-grade aluminum outer shield, which not only is going to keep the modules cool, but makes for a pretty cool look.  Today we are taking a look a the Division 4 kit of the Viper Xtreme Series, which is designed specifically for Intel’s X79 platform and 2nd generation Core™ processors.  We are checking out the PXQ316G1866ELQK kit, which is a 16GB kit running at 1866MHz with timings of 9-11-9-27 at 1.65V.  Read on as we take these for a ride.

Unboxing the Patriot Division 4 Viper Xtreme DDR3 Quad Channel Memory Kit

Our friends over at Patriot Memory have sent us one of their latest memory kits, the Division 4 Viper Xtreme DDR3 Quad Channel Memory Kit. This 16GB kit is a PC3-15000 kit so it is going to be running at 1866MHz. The timings are 9-11-9-27 at 1.65V. The Division 4 series kits are designed specifically for Intel’s X79 platform and 2nd generation Core™ processors. Like all Viper Xtreme kits these featurethe 6 gram copper core and aircraft-grade aluminum heatspreaders. Read on to check out our unboxing and overview video.

Crucial Ballistix DDR3-1866 6GB Triple Channel Memory Kit Review

A little while ago we took a look at a<a href="http://thinkcomputers.wpengine.com/crucial-ballistix-ddr3-1600-4gb-dual-channel-memory-kit-review/"> 4GB dual channel Ballistix kit</a> from Crucial.  Today Crucial has sent us a 6GB triple channel kit of Ballistix and we are very eager to see how it performs.  This 6GB kit runs at 1866MHz with timings of 9-9-9-24 at 1.65V.  Just like the other kit we took a look at this kit features XMP profiles, Crucial’s new Ballisitx heatspreaders and on-board temperature sensors and monitoring software.  Let’s check them out!

Patriot Viper Xtreme Division 2 DDR3-1866 8GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Review

A little while ago we took a look at Patriot’s Viper Xtreme triple channel memory that is designed for Intel X58 systems.  Today we are checking out the Viper Xtreme Division 2 Edition memory which is designed for Intel’s 2nd generation “Sandy Bridge” Core processors.  This memory has been rigorously tested and validated on the Intel  6 Series platform to achieve maximum performance and stability.  The Division 2 memory has all of the same features as the original Viper Xtreme memory like the 6 gram copper core and aircraft-grade aluminum heatspreaders.  Today we will be putting the 8GB DDR3-1866 kit to the test.
