Linux Blocked From Booting on Apple’s New MacBook Air

Apple recently announced their new MacBook Air with Retina display, which is a nice upgrade from older versions. Apparently it is impossible to boot with a Linux distribution on the new MacBook Air. This is because of the new T2 chip that manages Touch ID's Secure Enclave, APFS storage encryption or UEFI Secure Boot validation.

Apple today updated MacBook Pro with faster performance and new pro features, making it the most advanced Mac notebook ever. The new MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar feature 8th-generation Intel Core processors, with 6-core on the 15-inch model for up to 70 percent faster performance and quad-core on the 13-inch model for up to two times faster performance - ideal for manipulating large data sets, performing complex simulations, creating multi-track audio projects or doing advanced image processing or film editing.

Steam Link App for iOS Rejected by Apple

Ultimately, that appeal was denied leaving the Steam Link app for iOS blocked from release. The team here spent many hours on this project and the approval process, so we're clearly disappointed. But we hope Apple will reconsider in the future.

Apple Plans To Use Its Own Chips In Macs in 2020

Apple is planning to use its own chips in Mac computers as early as 2020, replacing processors from Intel. Apple already builds its own processors for iOS devices and some of the newer ones like the A11 Bionic and A10 Fusion for reached performance levels of entry-level x86 desktop processors.
