XPG SX8200 Pro Overview
The XPG SX8200 Pro is your typical M.2 solid state drive being 80mm in length. It supports NVMe 1.3 and the 512GB version which we are checking out today offers read and write speeds of up to 3500 MB/s and 2300 MB/s respectively.
The controller that ADATA is using is the SMI SM2262EN, which has eight flash channels and TLC support. There are two Nanya DDR3 cache chips on this drive as well.
As far as the flash goes we have IMFT Intel/Micron 64-layer 3D TLC NAND. While we’ve seen some drives that have the ADATA branding on the chips, these have the normal branding on them.
This is a two-sided drive with two more NAND chips and the second cache chip on the back of the drive.
