The high-end Radeon R9 Fury Series graphics cards are here. These cards are the Radeon R9 Fury X and the Radeon R9 Fury. The first card to launch will be the Radeon R9 Fury X, which is the liquid-cooled version that we have been showing you leaked of for weeks now.
The Fury X features 4096 Stream Cores and will offer 1.5x performance per watt compared to the R9 290X. The second card is the Radeon R9 Fury, which will be an air-cooled version of the same card.
One really cool thing about the Fury X that was briefly shown towards the end of the presentation was the live LED tachometer that is on the side of the card. From what we understand that can be configured to show GPU load as well as temperature. Very cool and something that was not mentioned about the card before.
The Radeon R9 Fury X will be available for purchase June 24th for $649 and the Radeon R9 Fury will be available a little later on July 14th for $549.

If the Fury series are just re-brands of the previous R9 290/ 290X series, why would I want to spend $649+ US for one of these GPU’s – just for the HBM memory modules, the smaller footprint?
I just got an R9 290X a couple of months ago; so I think I’ll be taking a pass on this series, and will wait for the next production.
how can rebrand cards beat in bechs newest Nvidiots cards?
Fury series are NOT rebrands, they are a whole new design. The 300 series are rebrands.
