Crucial DDR4-2133 32GB Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts
If you are moving over to the Haswell-E platform you will need to get DDR4 memory as it is the first consumer platform to support the new memory. You are not going to be able to use your DDR3 memory on this platform. DDR4 has its advantages starting with the a faster standard data rate. All DDR4 memory kits will start at 2133 MHz and go up from there. Also you will have higher capacities and these modules are more efficient.

Of course these modules from Crucial are nothing to really write home about. They run at the standard data rate of 2133 MHz, don’t have fancy heatspreaders and have a plain green PCB. They do however perform extremely well and we were able to easily overclock them. That is what you are looking for when it comes to memory anyways, you want something that will perform well and run stable. This kit does that flawlessly at the stock 2133 MHz and even at our max overclock of 2400 MHz. That speaks volumes for what appears to be a “plain jane” memory kit.

This kit is also one of the cheapest DDR4 kits out there right now. The 32 GB kit that we reviewed today is selling for around $440 online. Crucial also backs this kit with a lifetime warranty. We are pretty excited to see other DDR4 kits from Crucial in their Ballistix series. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Crucial DDR4-2133 32GB Memory Kit a 9 out of 10 score.
