Deepcool GamerStorm Assassin II CPU Cooler Overview
The Deepcool GamerStorm is one of the largest CPU coolers we have taken a look at lately. It has the official dimensions of 143 X 158 X 167mm and weighs in at a whopping 1479g so you should make sure it will it in your system.
The cooler has a nice nickel-plated design that looks quite good. The fans have red blades that match the Deepcool branding. The fans come pre-attached with fan clips.
The fan in the front of the cooler is a 120 mm fan and the fan in the center of the cooler is a 140 mm fan. Both of these fans are PWM fans and have a minimum speed of 300 RPM for quiet operation. The 120 mm fan has a maximum airflow of 68.06CFM and the 140 mm of 70.08CFM.
Taking a look at the cooler from the top we can see how the fans are attached and the design of the two heatsink towers. The heatsink fins have a sharkfin design, which looks pretty cool.
From the side we can see the cooler is very thick and we can see how design the heatsink stacks are.
At the back of the cooler we can see how the 8 heatpipes go up into the heatsink towers.
The 8 heatpipes are made of nickel-plated copper and come up from the base of the cooler in the “U” shape.
The base of the cooler also has a nickel-plated copper design. The base is a mirror-like finish, although ours was scratched, which we talked about on the previous page.
