Eurocom Ships Ready to Go Mobile Server Panther 5SE

Eurocom’s mobile server, the Panther 5SE, is ready to be shipped. Equipped with the Microsoft Server 2012, the newest mobile server from Eurocom will soon make its way to the markets and finally into the hands of the much anticipated customers. Eurocom’s first mobile server was launched in the year 2007 and since then efforts had continuously been made to improve and hence we have the Panther 5SE, which can easily be labeled as the most advance and capable version.

This version of the mobile server, equipped with the Microsoft Server 2012, offers higher performance and reduces the cost of computing through the visualization factor on a single platform. This has been one of the major benefits of having a mobile server; which works as an ordinary full server having the ability to turn completely portable through a laptop form factor. Mobile servers have undoubtedly brought a lot of advantages for the users and these can be quite beneficial to those looking for portability with excellent server performance still intact. The Panther 5SE can be put to work right after it’s out of the box. If a unit needs swapping, there will be no hassle as mobile servers don’t require any sort of wirings or wall mountings. Most importantly, all the hardware devices are integrated into one single unit. Whoever is looking for a powerful computing experience will seek after this newly prevailing concept of mobile server technology.

This Panther 5SE edition laptop by Eurocom features the Intel Xeon and provides the server on-the-go deployment. Powered by Intel’s Xeon E5-2600 series 6 and 8 cores processors, this version is capable of delivering server class performance from a smaller and a much more compact platform; an integrated keyboard, UPS and 17.3 inch LCD. While the contemporary servers require attendant UPS capability for up to 15 minutes of runtime before shutdown, the Panther 5SE has a swappable Li-Ion battery which provides much more than this.

Eurocom offers optional processors for the Panther 5SE; 4 cores, 8 threads, 6 cores, 12 threads and 8 cores, 16 threads Intel Xeon E5 Processors all based on the LGA 2011 processor socket. Intel Xeon E5-2690 tops all with 8 cores and 16 threads and an L3 cache of 20 MB. Using quad channel memory, the 5SE will initially support up to 32 GB of DDR3. The Panther 5SE has been designed to support fully all the highest capacity memory options which include Hybrid, SS or even enterprise level drives. To support operating systems such as the Windows server, the 5SE also features the Intel 82579V Gigabit Ethernet port.

This might be news to some that the Windows Server 2012 is the sixth release and has been upgraded to support the updated version of Hyper-V, an IP address management tool (IPAM), a newer version of Windows Task Manager, Resilient File System, Internet Information Services 8.0 and a redesigned and improve user interface in Task Manager.
