The next-generation of chipsets are not even out yet, and the competition is already on. In the past few years, we have seen AMD do the impossible. It has started matching Intel chipsets in performance, and even surpassing them. The next generation is expected to intensify this race. We now have a new Geekbench listing that shows Intel’s Core i7-1165G7 4-core Tiger Lake chip beating the 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U Renoir chip. Read on!
The new Geekbench listings show the next-generation chipsets in Lenovo machines. Intel’s Core i7-1165G7 sporting 4 cores and 8 threads is shown to beat the Ryzen 7 4700U (Renoir) APU with 8 cores. While the two chipsets hover around the same figure in multi-core figures, but single-core performance is where Intel takes the lead. Check the benchmarks, below:
There’s another listing, showing the same Intel chipset pitted against the Ryzen 7 4800U with 8 coreGeekbench listing shows Intel Core i7-1165G7 4-core Tiger Lake CPU beats 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U Renoirs and 16 threads. The single-core story remains the same here, but AMD beats Intel in multi-thread. Check it out:
Geekbench listings are not the most reliable source of information, so take this with a grain of salt. Regardless, this should get you hyped for the next generation of CPUs. Did it? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
