Gigabyte CMP 30HX, the First Mining Card of 2021 Pictured

It’s been almost three weeks since NVIDIA announced its second cryptocurrency mining graphic card series, and now another card from the Gigabyte has been spotted online, the Gigabyte CMP 30HX.

The CMP 30HX is the low-end card in the CMP series. It is based on the TU116-100 GPU. The core count in the card remains unknown, but our best guess is at 1408 or 1280. It also has 6GB GDDR6 RAM.

As per NVIDIA’s announcement, CMP 30HX operates at a 125W TDP, and it will offer around 26 MH/s in Ethereum mining.

Mining Graphic cards lack display output capabilities, and they don’t even have any kind of display connectors. This makes sure that after the mining craze is over, no mining equipment is sold to customers.

The supply and price of the CMP series will determine the popularity. The huge mining farms have already got their hands on the supply.
Moreover, the CMP series will tell how AIBs should formalize mining as NVIDIA will not sell this series directly.

Sources at VideoCardz report that AIBs have started mass production of 30HX and 40HX.
