Goliath Overview
When I took the Goliath out of the box the first thing that I noticed was that it was not the advertised Crimson Red, it was pink. The photos on the box show it being a completely different color. It is definitely pink, not red. If I had ordered this enclosure and paid for it I would be pretty upset when I was thinking I was going to get a red drive and it ended up being pink. If you are going to order this drive do not get the Crimson Red version because it is actually pink. The Goliath is a pretty big enclosure, it is about the size of a Western Digital My Book if you are familiar with those drives.

On one side of the drive there is a small 80mm fan. This fan obviously is used to cool the hard drive that you will install in the enclosure. The front of the drive is pretty plain, except for a few LED’s for power and activity.

On the back of the drive is where you will find all of our connections and buttons. Starting at the top you have a power button for the enclosure, a power switch for the fan, the USB 3.0 connection and the power connection. The top and bottom of the drive are almost the same except the top has a few ventilation holes and the bottom has 2 rubber feet.

The enclosure can be opened by removing the 2 small screws on the side that does not have a fan on it. Once you remove them you can take a look inside. The inside of the enclosure is pretty simple. You have a spot for your hard drive and the SATA connector, that is about it.
