Lenovo ThinkPad X200 12.1-inch Tablet Notebook Review

X200 Tablet Overview
The X200 tablet has your typical ThinkPad look here, Lenovo means business! The top lid uses carbon fiber on top and glass fiber around the edges. This not only adds strength to the lid, but makes the laptop much lighter than previous ThinkPad tablets that used all magnesium lids. The X200 weighs in at around 3.5 lbs. You will also notice the battery sticks out of the back of the tablet. It is meant to do that as it has a grip on it for when you are using the X200 in tablet mode.

Because the X200 is a tablet it is a bit thicker than some ultraportable notebooks, but it still falls into the ultraportable category since it is a 12.1-inch tablet and weighs 3.5 lbs. Here it is compared to the Lenovo ThinkPad X300.

Starting on the left side of the X200 you have the lock port, power input, exhaust vent, VGA out, Ethernet connection, USB port, WiFi switch and the ExpressCard slot. It is nice to see more and more laptops using ExpressCard slots, there are so many accessories that use the ExpressCard slot.

On the right side you have another USB port, pen holder, modem connection, audio ports, and another USB port. That’s a total of 3 USB ports, which is just enough for a notebook like this. To remove the pen just push it in and it will pop right out.
