NVIDIA Officially Announces the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Graphics Card

NVIDIA has made the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti official today. The card will effectively replace the GeForce RTX 2060 Super and comes in below the RTX 3070 at only $399. The card is expected to go on sale tomorrow December 2nd. The card is based on the 8 nm “GA104” silicon (same as RTX 3070), but is cut down with only 38 out of the 48 SMs enabled. So that leaves you with 4864 CUDA cores, 152 Tensor cores, 38 RT cores, 152 TMUs, and 80 ROPs.

The card will also have the same memory configuration as the RTX 2060 Super, with 8GB of 14 Gbps GDDR6 memory running across a 256-bit bus giving you 448 GB/s bandwidth. NVIDIA does have their own Founders Edition, which looks very similar to the RTX 3070 Founders Edition. NVIDIA says the card is on par with the RTX 2080 Super in terms of performance.

The big question will be if you are actually able to buy one tomorrow.
