Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Gaming Mouse Review

Usage & Final Thoughts

I’ve been using the DeathAdder V3 Pro for about 3 weeks now, replacing Razer’s own Viper V2 Pro which I reviewed back in May. While the Viper V2 Pro is more of a lightweight ambidextrous gaming mouse, the DeathAdder V3 Pro is more of a ergonomic lightweight gaming mouse. So switching from one to another the shape makes a big difference.

The DeathAdder V3 Pro definitely has a taller footprint, which really lends itself towards more of a palm grip. The mouse is extremely comfortable and the feedback from pressing the main buttons feels just right. Also Razer is using a matte white finish on the mouse that has a sort of rough feel to it which does give you some grip. If you need more grip there is of course the included grips.

I really like that Razer has been able to cut down the weight on their latest mice without losing any features. So with the DeathAdder V3 Razer was able to drop 25% of the weight from the previous version, which is just insane! The white version of the DeathAdder V3 comes in at 64 grams, so it is quite easy to move around on your gaming surface and even after long gaming sessions you don’t feel much fatigue. Even more impressive is that Razer is able to do this without cutting a bunch of holes in the chassis of the mouse like we’ve seen on other lightweight gaming mice.

In all of my testing using the DeathAdder V3 Pro I did not run into a single issue. As I said the mouse is very comfortable and the sensor is accurate. I always felt like I was getting my shots when playing Apex Legends and the wireless connectivity was excellent. I did not run into any input lag or connection issues. It is worth noting that this mouse does support the Razer Hyperpolling wireless dongle, which will give you a true 4000 Hz wireless polling rate. This dongle is an extra cost of $29.99.

I think if you are a palm grip FPS gamer this is going to be the perfect gaming mouse for you. It is lightweight, feels great in the hand, can be used wired and wirelessly and has great performance. Right now you can pick this mouse up at our favorite online retailer for $149.99, which definitely gives it that Razer premium. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Gaming Mouse a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
