NVIDIA Launches GeForce GTX 1050 and 1060 Indie Bundle

NVIDIA has just launched a new gaming bundle for their lower-tier graphics cards. If you remember they announced their "Hackers Wanted" promo a few weeks back which gave gamers a download code for Ubisoft's new Watch Dogs 2 game if they purchased a GeForce GTX 1080 or GeForce GTX 1070. Well now NVIDIA is announcing the "Choose Your Adventure" bundle. Buyers of new GeForce GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti, and GTX 1060 graphics cards will get to choose from one of three available VR indie games. The bundle also includes notebooks with mobile variants of these GPUs.

NVIDIA Announces the GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

NVIDIA has officially announced both the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and GeForce GTX 1050 (non-Ti) graphics cards. These two mainstream graphics cards are based on NVIDIA's brand new GP107 silicon, which is the smallest chip in the Pascal architecture. Both cards are designed to give enough power for MOBA gamers at Full-HD and HD resolutions respectively. The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is priced at $139, and the GeForce GTX 1050 (non-Ti) is only $109.

NVIDIA To Release Two GeForce GTX 1050 Variants

While we thought we would see a single GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, NVIDIA is actually prepping two variants of the card. The two will launch in October 2016, beginning with the faster GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (mid-October), and the less expensive GeForce GTX 1050 (non-Ti) in late October. Both cards will be based on the new GP107 silicon, with the Ti variant of the card maxing out the chip.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Incoming

According to reports NVIDIA is putting the finishing touches on their GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. This card will be based on the new GP107 silicon, which will be NVIDIA's fifth ASIC based on the "Pascal" architecture (after GP100, GP102, GP104, and GP106). The GP107 will feature 768 CUDA cores, 48 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 interface that holds 4 GB of memory.
