Model Numbers of Upcoming Ryzen SKUs Leaked

A list of model numbers of upcoming AMD Ryzen processor models has been leaked. They reveal pretty much AMD's entire second wave of Ryzen 2000 series processors. So let's start with the big boys in the Ryzen Threadripper line which will be the Ryzen Threadripper 2900X (YD290XA8U8QAF), Ryzen Threadripper 2920X (YD292XA8UC9AF), and the top-dog Ryzen Threadripper 2950X (YD295XA8UGAAF)

der8auer Delids the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor

Famous overclocker der8auer has delidded the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor in his latest YouTube video. He's done this to evaluate if the benefits justify the risk. The IHS on the new Pinnacle Ridge processors is soldered directly to the die with Indium, so the delidding process is a little more difficult than before.

Canard PC’s AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Review is Out!

The latest issue of Canard PC Hardware includes a pretty detailed review of AMD's Ryzen 7 2700X processor. Reddit user JustFinishedBSG was nice enough to take photos of the review in the magazine and upload it to Reddit. First looking at synthetic benchmarks the Ryzen 7 2700X is at the top of the chart beating out the previous generation flagship Ryzen 7 1800X by 14% and Intel's Core i7-8700K by 15%.

The Ryzen 7 2800X Will Not Be Part Of First 2000-Series Wave

AMD will be launching their first wave of 12nm Ryzen 2000-series "Pinnacle Ridge" processors in April, with likely availability on the 19th. From all of the leaks that we've seen it is very clear that the Ryzen 7 2700X will be the flagship processor, at least at first. The 2800X will not be part of the first wave of 2000-series processors, which is made up of four processors to start.

AMD Ryzen 2000 Series Roadmap Leaked

Well ahead of its launch the product roadmap of AMD's next-generation AM4 processors was leaked. This roadmap shows that AMD could launch its next-generation Ryzen 2000-series "Pinnacle Ridge" processors with no more than four SKUs initially. These include the flagship Ryzen 7 2700X, followed by the Ryzen 7 2700, Ryzen 5 2600X, and then finally the Ryzen 5 2600.
