A list of model numbers of upcoming AMD Ryzen processor models has been leaked. They reveal pretty much AMD’s entire second wave of Ryzen 2000 series processors. So let’s start with the big boys in the Ryzen Threadripper line which will be the Ryzen Threadripper 2900X (YD290XA8U8QAF), Ryzen Threadripper 2920X (YD292XA8UC9AF), and the top-dog Ryzen Threadripper 2950X (YD295XA8UGAAF), which suceed the TR-1900X, TR-1920X, and TR-1950X. These new chips could feature increased clocks as well as new features from “Zen+”.
The Ryzen 5 2000 series will get the Ryzen 5 2500X (YD250XBBM4KAF). This should be a 4-core/8-thread chip that could have higher clock speeds and L3 cache amount than the Ryzen 5 2400G.
Finally AMD will introduce Ryzen 3 desktop chips based on the Pinnacle Ridge 12nm silicon. These chips will include he new Ryzen 3 2100 (YD210BC6M2OFB) and the Ryzen 3 2300X (YD230XBBM4KAF). These are quad-core parts without SMT. The Ryzen 3 2300X will succeed the Ryzen 3 1300X covering AMD’s entry-level lineup.
AMD will also be rolling out mobile chips for ultra-portable notebooks, these will be the Ryzen 3 2000U (YM200UC4T2OFB), the Ryzen 5 2600U (YM2600C3T4MFB), and the Ryzen 7 2700U (YM2800C3T4MFB).
It is interesting that we do not see a Ryzen 7 2800X listed in these leaked documents.
