Intel Optane 905P PCIe SSD Shows Up On Newegg

Ahead of its launch the Intel Optane 905P PCI-Express add-in card (AIC) SSD, bearing model number SSDPED1D960GAX1, has showed up on Newegg. This more or less confirms its launch. The model that is listed is the 960GB version, which is based on 3D XPoint memory. This version also has a pretty slick illuminated shroud, unlike the Optane 900P.

The 960GB capacity is pretty awesome as the Optane 900P only came in 280 and 480GB versions. The added capacity is also likely to increase the drives endurance numbers. The price on the listing is $1602.
