Windows 8 Lost Nearly Half of Its Users in Just 12 Months

When Microsoft first launched Windows 8 back in October 2012 many users were excited about it, but it really failed to impress. After using it many users switched back to Windows 7 or just did not upgrade at all. Market share data provided by StatCounter shows that Windows 8 lost nearly half of users in the last 12 months.

No More Major Updates for Windows 8

Well it's official Microsoft is scrapping Windows 8. Sales of the of the operating system have been very poor and it is even losing market share to Windows 7. In a blog post by Microsoft Senior Marketing Communications Manager Brandon LeBlanc, he says there will be no more major updates for Windows 8.

According to Dell, the Xbox One will be able to run Windows 8 apps which will be able to sync among all Windows 8 devices, isn’t that an interesting news? Xbox One product page has claimed the news basically also adding up that this will give users a unique experience.
