Thermaltake Jing CPU Cooler Review

Overview
The Thermaltake Jing is designed to stand out from the rest of the pack. First and foremost is the color scheme of the cooler, a bright green and gray. This is not something you see in your standard CPU cooler. The Jing also looks pretty hearty and compact, so you can ensure you’re getting a quality product that will not fall apart or loosen down the line.

Secondly the cooler has two unique silent 120mm fans with an open cage design to provide maximum airflow. The fans are unique to this CPU cooler only due to its unique bracket design. A plastic cover surrounds the aluminum heatsink on both sides and has four clips and vibration dampening pads which the two fans are attach to.

The cooler measures in at 161.2mm high, which make an installation pretty close in smaller cases. The large aluminum heatsink is mostly due to that height and there is little on top of the cooler except a green plastic cover to help hide the protruding heatpipes.

The Jing has a U-shaped heatpipe design which consists of five, 6mm nickel plated copper heatpipes, all equally spaced apart. The heatpipes feed through the also nickel plated copper base, but surprisingly aren’t exposed to the bottom of the base.

The nickel plated base is highly reflective not only in terms of visuals, but also with heat transfer. Each fan also comes attached with a three-pin power connector along with a fan speed adjuster knob.
