Titanfall Beta PC and Xbox One Graphics Compared

Normally when a game is released on multiple platforms the game looks considerably better on PC. This is because PCs have better hardware than consoles. Well in the case of Titanfall the difference between the PC and Xbox One version is extremely close.

The guys over at DualShockers have done a nice comparison. They ran the PC version of the game at 1920 x 1080p resolution with 4x MSAA and the screenshots were captured via FRAPS. For Xbox One the screenshots were captured via the built-in screen capturing tool. Below are the comparison screenshots, remember to click on them to see them in higher resolution.

As you can see the PC version is only slightly better, and not by much. For those wondering the PC that the game was running on was rocking an AMD Phenom 2 X4 965 Black Edition overclocked to 3.8 Ghz, an overclocked Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 2 GB, and 8B GB RAM.

  1. Not bad. Pc is still better with the shades and lighting. I have close to the same setup so I know it will look great on mine!

  2. Xbox one and Ps4 currently have fairly top tier specs as of today’s market….as of TODAY’S market. Releases in a year or two will yield vastly better results once again for PC. Still, consoles have come a long way.

  3. top tier specs?? they are comparing it to a mid range pc. these consoles are hardly top tier considering the pc they tested against it could be bought 2 years ago if not longer.

  4. 700 series cards could not be bought two years ago. These next-gen consoles do indeed have very current specs as of today’s market. I don’t even game on consoles. I am a converted PC gamer exclusively, but even I can see what’s in front of me.

  5. The ps4 and xbone have the equivalent of a 7850 (slightly OCed for the ps4 and slightly UCed for the xbone) which was mid-high end and released in March 2012, not even close to top tier specs. Do some research before you say something that asinine.

So no you can’t even see what’s in front of you.

The only reason the game looks pretty similar is again the same reason a lot of ported games don’t look much better, they are dumbed down for the consoles that are too weak to run high resolution textures.

Christ they can’t even run things at a constant 60fps in 1080p. Next gen my ass.

  6. More like facts that you don’t like. First sign of a lost argument is an insult GJ.

Maybe next time instead of sounding cocky and everything being so matter of fact someone won’t have to illuminate exactly how completely clueless you are.

  7. Says the guy who himself resorted to insults. Thanks for the laugh, friend.
