The Vantec NexStar Universal Storage Adapter is a simple and easy to use device. It supports any type of storage device that you can think of. From IDE to SATA, 2.5” to 3.5” to 5.25”, it supports all larger hard drives. The 66-in-1 card reader is sure to support any type of memory card you may have lying around your house. The card reader isn’t much bigger than a cell phone and has a black piano finish on both the top and bottom of the device. There are power and activity LEDs on the lower left hand corner of the device with the NexStar logo plastered in the middle. Each port has its own label, so it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out.
On the front side of the adapter there are 3.5”/5.25” IDE drive port along with MS (Memory Stick) and CF (Compact Flash) ports. On the rear side there are XD (extreme Digital) and SD (Secure Digital) ports along with a 2.5” IDE connection.
The SATA port is found on the smaller side opposite from the USB cord. The USB cord has two connections, one which just connects the USB and another which supplies more power to the device and also allows you to reuse the port.
