ADATA XPG ATOM 50 Overview
The ADATA XPG ATOM 50 is your typical M.2 2280 (80mm) drive. On the main side of the drive you’ll find only two NAND chips. While these are labeled ADATA these are Micron 176-layer TLC NAND chips.
The other chip on the drive is the InnoGrit IG5220 4-channel Gen4 x4 controller. One thing that is really great about this controller is that it operates at only 2.5W max!
Flipping the drive over there are no other chips or anything else on the back, making this a single-sided drive. That makes it perfect for laptop that only support single-sided drives. Also with the available space on the main side of the drive we could easily see ADATA release a 2TB single-sided version. The only thing on the back is a sticker with all of your serial numbers and other information.
