Adesso Xtreme H3 Headphones Overview
Taking a closer look at the Xtreme H3 headphones you can see that we received the white version, as I mentioned these headphones also come in black as well. The headphones have a sort of DJ style as they are over-the-ear headphones with large earcups.
The headphones feature a rotating, 180-degree pivot mechanism. Adesso says this is a for a DJ so they can have listen to music in one ear and listen to external sounds in another, but it really do not work that way. I tried to do that with the headset on and I actually have to adjust the headband in order to keep the headset on with the one earcup flipped up and even then it was barely on my head. The pivot mechanism is best used for when you are traveling with the headset, it makes it easier for you to throw it in a laptop bag or backpack.
The headband itself is adjustable and is plastic with a metal layer on top. Most of the headset is actually made of plastic, but does seem sturdy enough. There is an Xtreme H3 logo on the top of the headband.
Taking a look at the earcups they have outer cushions and your ears are made to sit inside of the earcups. Each earcups features a 50mm Neodymium Magnetic Driver, so we should have some pretty impressive sound here.
The left earcup is where you are going to find all of your controls. In the center you have a large power button that is also used for pairing and answering calls. Above it you have volume up and volume down buttons. Below it are back and forward buttons. There is also a microphone on the left earcup so you can take calls with this headset.
On the bottom of the left earcup is a micro USB connector used to charge the headset and a audio connection if you want to use the headset in non-Bluetooth mode.
