It is being reported that AMD could use CES 2020 in January to launch or reveal its upcoming second generation Navi GPUs. This seems like a good possibility as the current AMD GPU roadmap shows 7nm+ GPUs for 2020.
While there is not a whole lot of information out there on what the rDNA 2 architecture it is expected to be “more power efficient than first-gen Navi GPUs”. It is also expected that AMD will offer more GPUs than what we saw with first-gen Navi and that these GPUs will use both GDDR6 and HBM2 memory. It is a good possibility that we’ll see some type of ray tracing support as well.
