AMD Officially Launches the Radeon R7 250X Graphics Card

Today AMD is officially launching their Radeon R7 250X Graphics Card. This will be more of an entry-level card and will retail for only $99. The R7 250X will bridge the gap between the R7 250 and R7 260 and will serve as a PR counter for NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GTX 750.

If you were expecting a new card you are going to be disappointed. The R7 250X is basically the same card as the HD 7700 that was released back in February of 2012. While it is codenamed “Cape Verde” this card will actually contain a Cape Verde XT Core. The card will run at 1 GHz and will come in 1 GB and 2 GB configurations. Here is a breakdown of the R7 line.
