Now this is very surprising. Looking at the official PassMark – CPU Mark single-thread benchmark chart we can see the unreleased AMD Ryzen 5 3600 at the top. This is definitely evidence that AMD has finally achieved or exceeded IPC parity with Intel. The official chart has The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 at the top of the chart with 2,981 points. That score is 1.77 percent better than the Intel Core i9-9900KF and 2.86 better than the Core i9-9900K.
Now the official chart does not mention whether the Ryzen 5 3600 is running at its stock frequency of 3.60 GHz with a 4.20 GHz boost or if it was overclocked. Keep in mind that the i9-9900KF boosts up to 5.0 GHz, so these results cannot just be dismissed. What do you think?
