ASUS has just announced the ROG Swift PG259QN gaming monitor which will be available by next month. The monitor’s capability to attain 360Hz refresh rate makes it the fastest gaming monitor available.
High refresh rates are beneficial for fast-paced competitive games like CSGO, etc. ASUS also explains the credibility of their 360Hz monitor. ASUS says, the refresh rate is the key to success, and a mere 4% change can turn the tables. This statement is further supported by mentioning a 1% time difference between gold and silver medalists of 100m and 200 dashes participants of the 2016 summer Olympics. This ideology is borrowed from NVIDIA.
NVIDIA was quick to identify their benefit. They said that Fortnite, Overwatch, Rainbow Six: Siege, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are some of the competitive games that can achieve 360 Fps on GeForce RTX hardware.
NVIDIA has shown its interest because of its upcoming generation of consumer cards. Rumors suggest drastic improvement in rasterized and ray-traced rendering. The PG259QN also supports G-sync.
ASUS ROG Swift PG259QN has a 24.5 inch IPS panel with a 1080p resolution. The monitor also has 1ms gray to gray response time.
The monitor offers 400nits brightness despite being an HDR monitor. The monitor will be available in September with a price tag of $699. It will come with a three year warranty.
