Battlefield V “Firestorm” Battle Royale Mode Detailed By DICE

Right before the Battlefield V open beta starts, DICE has released a new video that provides quite a lot of information on the game that what was previously announced. The main highlight in the video, which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone is that Battlefield V will have a battle royale mode called “Firestorm”.

Battlefield V Firestorm

The new mode involves 16 teams of 4 players each (so 64 players total), playing to be the last team standing on what is said to be the largest Battlefield map ever created. DICE calls this map, “a sandbox filled with destructible buildings, weaponry, and vehicles”. If you are a fan of PUBG or Fortnite this mode will definitely interest you.

Another thing that this video confirms is that Battlefield V will have a single-player mode. This is unlike Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 which is also slated for a Q4 2018 release. The single-player campaign will continue on with the War Stories aspect from Battlefield 1, with 4 stories available at launch and more planned for later on.
