be quiet! Silent Base 600 Overview
For a full video overview of the Silent Base 600 be sure to check out our video below.
The Silent Base 600 looks very much like be quiet’s flagship Silent Base 800 case, but of course smaller. The case has the official dimensions of 495mm x 230mm x 493mm (L x W x H). We received the orange windowed version of the case, there are actually a total of six SKUs for this case. be quiet! offers black / orange, black / white, and black / black color options with both windowed and non-windowed versions.
Taking a look at the front of the case it is all plan with the drives and everything else hidden. We see this a lot these days with cases. On each side you will find ventilation to let air come into the system.
The top part of the front of the case is actually a door that opens from the right. When opened it will reveal three 5.25-inch drive bays and a small fan controller that has support for up to three fans. On the inside of the door you will find some pretty thick sound dampening material.
There is a removable fan filter that you can pull up from the bottom half of the case. Behind this fan filter is a 140 mm Pure Wings 2 fan.
Moving up to the top of the case you will find two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks, hard drive activity LED, and a very large power button.
Moving towards the back of the case there are a very slits in the case for ventilation, these do seem sort of small though.
As I said we have the windowed version of the case so the side panel has a nice large window. This window should show off all of the hardware inside of your case. The window also has a orange trim around it.
The opposite side panel of the case had a pretty cool be quiet! logo embedded in it.
At the back of the case you will find another Silent Wings 2 fan, this one is 120mm. Below that you will find three water cooling holes, of course your expansion slots, a little bit of ventilation and the power supply mounting at the bottom.
Since your power supply is mounted on the bottom of the case there is a filter that pull out front the bottom of the case, this filter going along the entire bottom of the case.
