At Blizzon 2018 Blizzard announced that they will be remastering Warcraft III. The game will be titled Warcraft III: Reforged and be released some time in 2019. Blizzard says that Warcraft III: Reforged is “a complete reimagining of a real-time strategy classic”, with new visuals while retaining the campaigns and gameplay mechanisms of the 2002 hit game.
Blizzard will be recreating every hero, unit, building, and environment, which will all be playable in 4K too. All of the 62 missions of the game will be playable as well.
Warcraft III: Reforged is up for pre-order already, with a standard edition costing $29.99, a Spoils of War edition at $39.99 that includes special items for other Blizzard games, and a combo Spoils of War + Virtual ticket to Blizzcon 2019 for $79.99.
